Janez Boljka (1931 – 2013)
Born in 1931 in Subotica (Serbia).
Slovenian sculptor, painter and graphic artist. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where he completed postgraduate specialist studies in printmaking under Riko Debenjak and sculpture under Karel Putrih.
He has studied both at home, in Europe and more widely around the world. He has exhibited the largest number of public works, monuments and decorative sculptures in Slovenia.
He died in Ljubljana in 2013.
