Lojze Logar (1944-2014)

Logar was born in 1944 in Mežica, Slovenia.

In 1968, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. In 1970 he completed the graphic specialty at the same academy. He also studied in Berlin.

He received many international awards and recognitions for his work (including the Prešeren Fund award in 1987, the Rihard Jakopič award in 1994, the Intart award in 1971 and many successes at the graphic biennale).

For several years he taught graphics, drawing and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.

The artist passed away in 2014 in Izola, Slovenia.
