Tone Lapajne (1933-2011)

Lapajne was born in 1933 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

In 1956, he completed the School of Design in Ljubljana. In 1961, he graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts. After graduating, he enrolled in a sculpture specialty, which he completed in 1965.

Already during his studies and later in his career, he received many awards for his work (including the Prešeren award in 1951, the Prešeren Foundation award in 1977 and many successes at the international Ex tempore).

He exhibited at many solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad.

The artist created in sculpture and painting.

Lapajne passed away in 2011 in Ljubljana.
