Erik Lovko (1953 – 2009)
Lovko was born in 1953 in Postojna, Slovenia.
He graduated from the Technical High School in Ljubljana, and then studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and later also in Florence, where he graduated in 1976. After graduating, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he completed his studies in sculpture.
For his work he received many awards.
He exhibited at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad.
The artist worked in painting, sculpting, graphics, illustration and caricature.
Lovko passed away in 2009 in Postojna.
